The Truth About Taking the First Step

If there’s one lesson nearly four decades in business have taught me, it’s this: You don’t need the perfect plan. You need the courage to begin.
I meet so many aspiring entrepreneurs—women and men—who are overflowing with potential but paralyzed by the idea that everything must be flawless before they take action. They wait for the timing to be “just right,” or the idea to be fully mapped out, or the fear to magically disappear.
But here’s what I know to be true—Clarity is earned through action. Confidence is built through doing. Results come from movement.
When I founded my first business, I didn’t have a business degree. I didn’t have investors. I didn’t have a roadmap. I had grit, a vision, and the belief that I was capable of learning anything I needed to learn. And that mindset has carried me through homebuilding, construction, consulting, community involvement, and now coaching entrepreneurs across the Gulf South.
If you’re waiting for permission, let me be the first to tell you: You already have everything you need to start.
Start messy. Start scared. Start unsure. Just start.
And if you need guidance, support, and accountability, that’s exactly what Boss Babe Consulting was built for. You don’t have to build your business alone—I’m here to walk this journey with you.
Let this be the season you choose action over perfection. If you can dream it, you can build it.
